Vaccinations

Vaccination, Microchip and Licensing Clinics take place twice weekly at our Shelter & several times each month at other locations in our community.

At the Shelter:

  • Foothills Animal Shelter, 580 McIntyre St., Golden, CO 80401; just west of the Jefferson County Fair Grounds. Click here for directions.
  • Wednesday & Friday, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Please bring your pet’s vaccination records to help us serve you better.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • If you bring written proof (a rabies vaccination certificate, not just a rabies tag) that your pet has had a prior rabies vaccination that is still current, we can then give a 3-year rabies vaccine.
  • For the health of your animal, we will give no more than two vaccines per pet at one time. After a two-week wait period, we welcome you to return for additional vaccines.

Foothills Animal Shelter currently offers the following low-cost vaccinations and microchips:

Cats

Rabies: $15
Distemper/Panleukopenia (FVRCP): $15
Microchip: $35

Dogs

Rabies: $15
Distemper/Parvo (DA2PPV): $15
Bordetella: $15
CIV: $15*
Microchip: $35
License: $15 (spay/neutered), $30 (unaltered), proof of rabies vaccine required.

*Please Note: CIV vaccine requires a booster that is administered 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccine. Applicable fees apply.
